Vegan Asian Noodles & Broccoli – Homemade Teriyaki Sauce – Fat Free

Vegan Asian Noodles & Broccoli - Homemade Teriyaki Sauce (Easy!)

This recipe could be prepared by an infant it’s so easy. I’m so pumped I found this sauce recipe which is on my level. This is a fat free vegan recipe but I did drizzle toasted sesame over the top like a boss. I strongly recommend you check out the link below for the original sauce recipe. They offer great ways to jazz it up. Imagine more teriyaki recipes coming from me in the future. This feeds 2.

8 oz of pasta (linguine is pictured), 1/2 cup water, 4 TB agave, 4 TB soy sauce (I used reduced sodium), 1 TB cornstarch, 1 TB grated ginger, sprinkle of garlic powder (or a squirt of sriracha), splash of rice vinegar (optional), bag of frozen broccoli (sesame seeds & toasted sesame seed oil optional)

  1. On low heat add  1/2 cup water, 4 TB agave, 4 TB soy sauce, 1 TB cornstarch, 1 TB grated ginger, sprinkle of garlic powder & splash of rice vinegar to a skillet. Whisk everything together. Bring up the heat and stir until the sauce bubbles. Quickly remove from heat and let it thicken.
  2. Steam/boil broccoli for 10 minutes in a small amount of water
  3. Cook pasta, drain and mix with sauce. Add drained broccoli to your pasta. ENJOY!

  1. Thanks for the link and great video! If you want the sauce a bit more intensely teriyaki flavored you can scale back the water a smidge or let it cook down a bit longer 🙂 We get a lot of entry level cooks on that recipe so there is a bit of extra water in it to help it not thicken immediately which causes lots of folks to panic that it is a paste and not know what to do with it. 🙂
