3 Vegan Kids Lunch Box Ideas Lunchables

3 Vegan Kids Lunch Box Ideas - Lunchables - No Cook - Crackers, Cheese, Pizza, Chips, Dip, Fruit - Easy / Fast - Rich Bitch Cooking Blog

These 3 vegan kids lunch ideas are no-cook!!! This was 100% inspired by a specific Edyn Jacks (What A Fat Vegan Eats) video (link to that video below). Usually I dig around pinterest, get inspired then move forward. This time I was lounging around youtube watching Edyn’s video. Dude when she whipped out the vegan cheese and crackers….. there are no words to describe. I would have never thought to make this had I not seen her video.

I was digging around ebay for a kids lunch box but the cheap ones were uninspiring and the ones I like were top dollar (not gonna do it). Then we went to Aldi. Aldi is seriously so random. I mentioned how they randomly had vegan mayo one day and vegan sausage another day. It’s the same with their random non-food items. I saw a veggie spiralizer there once. About 6 months ago they had an air fryer. Last time I was there they had this little lunch box. The random shit will likely not be there the next time I go.

For $6 I figured I might as well buy the lunch box since I was pretty much not going to buy one other wise. In the video I show how versatile it is which is not captured in the pictures. The photo only shows the freezer gel portion of the box.

Vegan Cheese + Crackers Lunchables
THIS!!! Vegan cheese and crackers. With grapes <3 How have I not gone this route in life before? I’m so pumped that I have almost a whole box of crackers left along with more daiya cheese. In Edyn’s video she used daiya’s jalapeno cheese. Dude, DUDE. I love spicy, peppery chz and I had no idea they even sold such a flavor. Hands down this has changed my life.

Vegan Chips + Dip Lunchables
Will a meal of chips and dip get everyone up in arms? It doesn’t seem like a proper meal but lunchables does sell nachos. I did buy stuff to make the greatest vegan cheese dip that I’ve shared on the blog a million times. But I was lazy and tried to imagine what a busy mom might do. So I went the salsa route to make this a no-cook lunch idea. If salsa feels unsubstantial feel free to make a big batch of vegan cheese dip. It’s to die for and made out of veggies!

I admit that I was skeptical on how satisfying some corn ships with some store bought salsa would be but I was on board within one dipped chip. I never eat chips and dip. Another win for me! This was great. And I didn’t even have to dirty the cutting board and knife.

Vegan Cheese Pizza Lunchable - 3 Vegan Kids Lunch Box Ideas - Lunchables - No Cook - Fruit - Easy / Fast - Rich Bitch Cooking Blog

Vegan Cheese Pizza Lunchable
How is it that I always think plain basic food will not dazzle me then I get blown away with how good it is. I’m a foodie (hate that word) in the sense that I can eat a wide variety of foods and be overly captivated. Actually I think I’m more impressed with crappy food because I set the bar low then get blown out of the water. Fancy food often feels like a disappointment.

I’ve never eaten pizza lunchables. They just do not look appetizing. Mark told me that the pizza ones were his favorite lunchable growing up. (My parents never bought us shit like lunchables.) I took one bite of this and was like, “oh, this is good. What the hell was I imagining it would taste like?” For the millionth time, I most definitely recommend this and was surprised but its goodness.

  1. Cool! I took my DH to Aldi last week and even though it’s under renovation, he thought it was fun. We picked up a bunch of stuff and managed to spend only $17! My friend told me the Aldi people are spending $billions to remodel all their stores simultaneously. Is yours being remodeled too?

    • Dude that’s interesting.

So there’s a ton of locations around. There’s one location that we pretty much never shop at. That location used to be our main dumpster diving spot when we used to solely eat dumpster trash. If it wasn’t for eating out of their dumpster I would have never known how great their store is. Their dumperster are million dollar piles of food gold! After 1.5 years of trash digging we 100% quit dumpstering. But at that point I was open to checking out aldi on the inside of the store.

Stupid thing is before we started living off trash I was the type of person who would only buy organic and spend ALL our money at health food stores. Dumpster diving really broke me of that habit. It was long over due. That’s when I fully embraced aldi and haven’t looked back. What a love story <3

We drove passed that location a handful of times and saw that it said "open" while clearly being under construction.

The other day we were driving back to the city from the suburbs. It was 5 minutes til 9pm so we stopped at the closest aldi to us. It was that location. I guess they just finished construction. They had a grand opening sign on the building. Dude, they had soooo much stuff. It's my new fav location even though it's not the one we shop at.

I hope they do that to all locations around here. My biggest hope is that they're simply adding sqft so that there will be more good stuff to buy!

I read somewhere that Aldi is such a cheap company that they won't even pay for music to play in their stores. I love that. I don't need aldi to dazzle me. Whole foods tries to dazzle me and I feel anxiety every time I go in the store. Aldi is my jam.

  2. Interesting! I hear they are adding square feet here (looks like about double!) and therefore adding tons of new items, especially organic. Dude, you’re younger and braver than I am to dumpster dive. I could just see myself getting caught on camera doing it and ending up in the local newspaper with caption, “Old lady (I’m 66!) eating out of grocery garbage!” Oy!

    • Yay! that’s what i want to hear,

I used to dive with my friend Debbie who’s a grandmother. She’s an excellent diving partner. We’ve found many good things and eating lots of dumpster donut together. ha ha ha
