Yes, girl. More giant food!
Here’s the thing. I made a batch a tortilla dough and rolled it out. I cut the tortilla and put the scrap left over dough in a bowl. That the first takis failed. I tried to roll it thin but it was just too much dough. It wrapped around itself a few times. Even though the dough itself was thin the tortilla as a whole was thick.
So the first one failed. I took the remaining amount of dough and rolled it ultra thin. Then made it like a thin rectangle instead of a circular tortilla. Rectangular so that when rolled it wouldn’t be looped around itself a million times. Minimal amounts of dough was the goal.
The failed fried tortilla used about 3/4th of the dough. The successful taki only used about 1/4th of it. Here’s what I suggest. Make a full batch of dough in case you have some fails.
I really wished my taki was massive but could only make it as long as the pot I fried it in.
I did crush 3 servings of takis into powder but likely didn’t even use a single serving for the dusting. Feel free to crush less takis into powder or be cool with wasting any left over…. or use it to bread a Giant Vegan Chicken Nugget!!!!! <—- I should have tried that!
