Homemade red lentil pasta, 2 ingredient pizza crust?! What more is there to ask for? ha ha ha……. by the way. These are low fat/fat free in case that’s yo thing.

How to make Red Lentil flour:
I ground my red lentils (unsoaked) in the blender.

Really easy stuff . Lots of options here regarding flavor combinations.

Now who in their right mind wants to make shit with lentil flour? Me and let me tell you why. I was looking at my fully stocked pantry and thought “what in here do I need to quick avoiding?” And lentils raised their hand. Okay, I’ve made Vegan Lentil Soup a few different times here on the blog. I enjoy lentil soup but the idea of making lentil soup seemed really unexciting. I needed to make something new and snappy such as pizza???? or random ass crackers???? Yep, not soup.

Vegan 2 Ingredient Pizza Crust (Red Lentils)
So easy. Again 2 ingredients so feel free to add spices to take this to the max. Dude I was shocked at how gooey the daiya cheese got in the oven. The vegan chz has been in the freezer for months. I wonder if that effected it for the better. *Jalapeno are a must for pizza

1/2 cup red lentil flour, 1/4 cup water (more or less)

  1. Mix flour with water to make dough
  2. Roll dough into a ball and press into a crust shape
  3. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes then flip and bake for 5-10 more minutes. If it looks dry then that’s good enough. No need to make this rock hard.
  4. Add toppings and broil or bake til the chz and toppings are cooked. ENJOY

Vegan Pizza Red Lentil Crackers
Straight up flavor extravaganza! Seriously soooo good. Yeah they’re a bit dry since it’s bean crackers but I ate these without dip. This cracker dough would have made an epic pizza crust. Just saying. 100% would make these again. Pizza crackers, all day everyday. I just wished I garnished them with fresh basil or something.

I did burn the edges of my cracker batch because I didn’t roll my crackers out flat. The edges were thinner so they burned but I ate them anyway. Try to roll your shit out perfectly.

1/2 cup red lentil flour, 1/4 water (more or less), 1/4 ts of each of the follow: onion, garlic, oregano, salt, baking powder, about 1/3 cup tomato sauce (90g), 1/2 TB oil

  1. Mix everything together
  2. Roll dough out as evenly as you can to avoid uneven cooking
  3. Feel free to add cut marks to the dough
  4. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes then break the crackers up and flip. Bake for another 10 minutes or until golden. Remove any crackers that appear to be getting dark faster than other ones. ENJOY

Vegan Red Lentil Pasta
Straight up, I made homemade bean pasta. Round of applause everybody. 2 Ingredients. Now before I run off into the sun cheering about my victory I’m really not sure if I made these right. For one I know that bean pasta in general is temperamental. If you over cook it then it’s mushy and if you under cook it then it’s a bit grainy/starchy. I bet having a pasta maker and being able to roll the pasta dough out thinner would have been better but I don’t own one. I’ll let you use your intuition with this pasta recipe. Write in the comments if you figure any thing out while making homemade bean pasta.

1/2 cup red lentil flour, 1/4 cup water (more or less)

  1. Mix flour and water together
  2. Roll dough then and cut into pasta shapes (I chose bow ties)
  3. Depending on how thick your pasta is will determine how long you need to cook it for. I cooked mine for 14 minutes and it wasn’t totally done since it was thick pasta.
  4. Drain cooked pasta and top with whatever. ENJOY

Vegan Savory Lentil Pancakes
If you leave out the spices then you’ll have tortillas 🙂
I don’t know why but I really love these pancakes dipped in salsa. Fucking perfect. LOVE THESE. Now when you make these be sure to make as thin of a pancake layer as you can. You’ll want to see browning to each side. And you’ll know it’s time to fit the pancake when the top loses the light shimmer to the top. If your pancake is thin it can cook as short as 30 seconds to 1 minute per side. I error on cooking these longer than sorter. When under cooked they taste chalky and gross. Fully cooked they’re kind of nutty. So good!

1/2 cup red lentil flour, 1/2 cup water (more or less), 1 TB red curry paste (or spices of choice), green onion, spray oil

  1. Mix everything together
  2. Heat skillet up and spray with oil
  3. Pour half the mix into the skillet and spread as thin as you can
  4. Flip the pancake and cook the other side. With the spatula push the pancake down.
  5. Once cooked eat immediately with dipping sauce. ENJOY

    • I turned off comments 2 years ago after reading endless posts by faceless people telling me how ugly I am, how shitty my tattoos are, how my parents must be so ashamed of me, how I’m such a man, etc.

I had made some old videos for some friends, left the comments on and forgot about them.

When I came back a couple years later with the idea of doing recipe videos I saw all the crazy comments on these videos. These videos got 100K+ views. I pretty much thought it would be easier to turn the comments off than to grown thicker skin.

If i had to deal with the trash talking I probably wouldn’t make videos.

        • Oh man. 2 for 2!!! Ma’girl. I LOVE the pasta consistancy! I used leftover spicy tomato juice instead of water with a little garlic and parsley (my green vegetable. Lol) also made the pancakes. Really loving this simple lentil flour!! I guess any lentil would work just as long as we cook it. Cool stuff!!!💕👌🏼

          • Dude YESSSSSSSSS that’s so great. I love the spicy tomato juice instead of water. I could see that tasting epic.

  1. I’ve made pizza crust today and it was really good. I don’t like red lentils, but in this recipe I can’t even taste them.
Thanks a lot! I’ve been trying to find gluten free pizza recipe for a long time and you really helped me!

  2. Hello!^^ thank you for these amazing recipes and ideas.
I’d like to ask if it’s possible to substitute the “lentil flour” with a soy flour for the pizza crust.
    Thank you:))
